Please help! I want to block a certain news site but then in case I must access I want to have the option to allow myself the option.

I don't want to get a filter but do want to block myself from some websites. I want to be able to access them if needed but block them as a general rule.

I want to be in control - not an outside company and I don't want to pay anything.

How can I do this?

Does google/ chrome have something I can do?

so for desktop there is a chrome extention called. StayFocusd (note its without the E) its really amazing. You have different ways of chossing the way you want to block things. (there used to be a time imamother was too addicting I had to block it for some time lol)

There is also a stayfocused app (with an E and not related) that has the option to limit apps and websites on mobile devices which I use. Some of the options there you have to pay for.

There is also a stayfree app , but I dont use it.
