Making a small breakfast after my son puts on tefillin for the first time and goes up to the torah.
How would I word the invite for this?

You can put something like:
ברוב שבח והודאה
We'd like to invite you to celebrate with us
As our dear son....
Gets called up to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
Date/location
Then I'd put something like
Davening 7am (or whatever time) followed by Breakfast
Or
Date/Location/Time
Breakfast Following Davening
