Mugs are cute and useful. Maybe a key ring. As a recent grandmother most other chatchkas are a total waste.

I gifted my parents when they became grandparents for the first time a joke book-something about survival book for grandparents, along with mugs saying best bobby and zeidy with a picture of my adorable baby on it.
