She comes to me three days and makes 360 per week.
Am I supposed to give her a holiday gift, and if yes, how much?
Thanks in advance.

We usually gift a week's pay. Half if it's someone very new.

This might be community dependent but where I live the norm is a weeks pay.
Not looking for any hate, I know this blew up on another thread, just answering the question honestly.

There was a long thread on this and obviously differences of opinion.
All one can say is that in the USA, the standard suggested amount is the equivalent of one weeks’s salary just as the standard tip for a server is 15% or 20%.
I give my cleaning woman more because she has been coming to me for years and she is a wonderful woman and it makes me happy to be able to be a bit generous so that she can afford to splurge a bit for her holidays.

I give her half of what I usual pay her each week, as extra, in a separate envelope.

There are problems halachicly in giving a non Jew a monetary gift specifically before their holiday. Better to give it after.
This is in addition to the issur of lo sischanein. You shouldn’t give non Jews gifts.
Ask a knowledgeable Rav before you gift your cleaning help. It’s not so simple.

My mother gave hers a week's pay , because she's missing a week, so she still gets paid, even if she's off work.
I'm not giving mine anything, I forgot to give her a gift, and I won't be paying her for her missed day ( I only have once a week) I also don't get paid at all when I take holidays off. I'm not a cleaning lady, I'm just saying that I can't pay her for not working, as I'm not getting any income for 10 days.

My Rav said I can’t give my cleaning lady extra for their holiday. So I give her something a different time. She works by me once a week so I double that.

I like to give it chanukah time if possible or Thanksgiving time if possible.
