Sometimes the leasing companies drive them in from other areas, even out of state.

They don’t… usually less than 100 miles just for driving the car from the dealer to your home.

They shouldn’t. Cars are delivered via trucks, not driven, so unless the dealership had someone drive it to your home it should be at or very close to zero miles

They might have a few from test drives unless you ordered and waited for it to come in. We ordered one and it had 4 miles. I assume that's from any testing in house/driving it to where it needed to be.

Dealerships typically don’t sell the test driving cars as new, they call them demo cars and sell at a discounted rate
