When my4 yo was miserable in school, it was due to the morah. Be aware.
Is she very strong minded?

Not at all
And it happened last year too with a very sweet Morah. It just has been getting worse lately

My DD had a locket necklace from me with pictures of us inside. Maybe that will help her, she can wear it and look inside when she is feeling sad.

My 4 year old loved school, was happy and talked about it all day long, but he cried at drop-off.
I let him take his favorite stuffed animal and we kept it in his knapsack
When he was feeling sad, he would cuddle his stuffy and then put it back into the knapsack.
Also, I would give him a "lipstick kiss" on his hand every morning (freshly applied lipstick and then kissed the back of his hand). He would look at his "Mommy Kiss" to remember "Mommy loves me, Mommy will come back later".
