I’m looking for a part time remote bookkeeping position or freelance editing. I have ten years experience.

I’m desperate and don’t know how anyone is making it work in these crazy times.

Thank you!

I just applied to work for Data Annotations. They have work available training AI. They’re hard to get accepted to, they only accept people who use perfect grammar and spelling and do a flawless job on their entry tests, but they seem like a great part time gig for detail oriented people.

I see it says from $20/hour

How much do you actually earn?

I wasn’t accepted as of yet so I don’t know. My test is being reviewed. I really hope I get in! The work I did for my test was really up my alley. I’d be doing it as a side income in addition to my regular job.

There’s a lot of info on Reddit about people’s experiences. It seems like people usually get access to higher paying projects after a few weeks or months of doing quality work. People have said they earn $20-40 an hour.

If you know coding then you get access to higher paying projects right away.

If you want to read about people’s experiences, google “data annotations Reddit” and look through the threads that pop up. Or just go directly to the subreddits -

Be very, very careful when completing the entry tests! I realized I’d made a mistake as soon as I submitted the test and I’m so frustrated. I hope they’ll accept me anyways.

Important note - you’d be a 1099 contractor so you need to save 30% of what you’re paid for taxes. Hopefully it would end up being less than 30% taxed but it’s good to err on the safe side until you see what bracket you are in. I plan to put that money in a high yield savings account until tax season.
