I know this has been discussed A LOT. Hopefully we can keep this organized, and I’ll keep bumping. Maybe I’ll edit this OP as the suggestions come in!

Would you please share what items you buy at which Big Box Stores or Chain Groceries . Preferably those of you who are cost conscious. I do understand that some people really do have to just rely on convenience. Some of this probably will be region specific (not every Costco caries the same items), but let’s try??

For example:

Most household cleaning items - Walmart
This specific cleaning item that I use a lot and is cheaper at Costco - Costco
Eggs - Aldi
Ziplock bags - Target
Chocolate chips - Trader Joe’s or Wegmans

Etc etc .

Edited to add chain grocery stores which also vary with region, but worth a shot !

Target - mayo, method spray and other cleaning supplies

Costco - paper towels, tissues, diapers, wipes, oil, canned and jarred goods, snacks, chicken cutlets, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, soap...

Aldi - Ziploc bags, pasta, tuna, ketchup, honey, nuts, chips, eggs, salmon, chocolate syrup, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, cereal

We do Costco once a month, target order as needed.
Weekly we do Aldi for what I listed above plus fruits and veggies and then another weekly trip to gourmet glatt for shabbos food, meat, chalav yisroel items, and Jewish food like gefilta fish etc.

We are very cost conscious and this is best way for us to divide it

ETA: Lakewood area and we buy 99% store brands

Thank you!

I prob should have specified to say if you’re buying their brand or name brand items and your general area of the country.
