Did anyone get this. I saw ads and then saw tables around nyc saying if you qualify u could get free tablet and plan. Why are they doing this? I'm skeptical when anything is free, so just wondering. Thanks!

I'm not in NYC but NYS.
Yes I got a free tablet and a cell phone and free service because I am on Medicaid.
I think they gad fir interest too.
Totally legit.
But unfortunately I think it's coming to an end because they don't have anymore money so I'm not sure you could sign up anymore.

Yes it's free , same way they offer obama phones for free. If you feel they are trying to spy on you , then assume the same here . otherwise you can view it like any goverment handout things that they offer.
(addionally many will say its offered so that they should vote democrat in the future)

Look up the federal ACP program. The program will be ending and the last day to apply is Feb 7th. Google for more info but you can get it almost anywhere in the US

Thanks. I googled it and it says I can get $30 off my internet bill, but it doesn't say anything about a free phone. It does say I can get $100 off a tablet, but it doesn't give further details. When you apply, it just tells you about the internet savings.
Do you or anyone else have more details?

I had a cellphone. Perfect service. This was a few years ago before everyone had a smartphone so I’m not sure what they are giving out now.
