Is it family friendly? And what do you suggest to order there?

Yum!

There's plenty that kids will eat there, but if your kids can't sit still for long it's probably the wrong place. Nice ambiance but not overly fancy.

I love the potato skins, the penne Jason (I think that's what it's called) and the fried crispy ravioli. The sandwiches are good, and I heard that the pizza is too. I know, not the healthiest choices, but when I eat out (rarely) I like to indulge!

Also, you must have the chocolate chip cookies a la mode. Heaven on a plate.

Why is their no more hechsher from kcl. Ate there recently. Shucksss what did they serve not good?

I believe it had something to do with a hooka event that was held there recently. But this is an old thread. If you were really curious why didn’t you start your own new thread instead?

Yes. And from info I heard they weren’t very forthcoming with hashgacha in conforming to their standard. A lot of trust is necessary in world of kashrus

Just to note that there is a new owner the last 2 years or so, originally the Owner of Cafoteria owned it and sold it 2-3 years ago.
It's under totally different management these days

Please do your due diligence when eating at a place with a new hechsher.

This altusky hechsher applies to Ottimo, bagel king and Ottimo now.
I personally wouldn’t eat by any of them.

basically, KCL and others do rely on the owner/manager of the place if its someone frum/trustworthy. if not, then they won't give their hechsher. I know this for sure was the issue with Bagel King. and I guess this Hookah event is what caused KCL to back out too.

The owner of bagel king is a frum guy. He has a non frum BUSINESS PARTNER. For the record, they also own Burger Bar, which still has the KCL hechsher, so that logic is warped regarding KCL.

And shame - because even if Ottimo hechsher is back - the damage is probably irreversible.
