My husband has undiagnosed asd. We don't have a real emotional connection barely technical. I have and still struggle with accepting him the way he is though he has truly amazing qualities being his spouse is a challenge I'm going through alone.
My dc preschool doing great in school just similar streaks of my husbands asd. Socially not great Blak and white thinking rigidNess .... I'm starting to feel bad for his partner in life and sad that he will look like my husband as an adult....

can you explain what they talk about in a nutshell? Is it like how to treat brain inflammation autoimmune diseases like pandas? Well my son Haas pandas and I always still hope his asd symptoms are really only pandas stuff that will heal and fade. But what's pressing on me her is just a copy of my husband so how is that ?

I'm sorry, so very hard.

Don't let him get used to avoiding the challenge of socializing. You can have Shabbos guests, an occasional playdate, meeting with cousins, etc. and have him exposed and interacting with different children. Don't feed into the need to always be with the same child. Don't worry about him having a best/close friend, just keep those socializing muscles working.

And the most important thing IMO is for YOU to maintain and active and fulfilling social life. You will need this more than you realize and along the way will set an example for your child on friendship.

Your child may not end up looking like your husband does as an adult BECAUSE he has a mother who sees it, is aware of it and will give him the help he needs to build in hiw weak areas. It's a different world in terms of intervention from when your husband grew up and there is so so so much room for growth and development.

Exactly.
They have different mothers. So they will look different as adults. You will give him professional intervention and self awareness and acceptance.

So your husband probably also has brain inflammation. More and more science is showing how much all autism is really an inflammatory/autoimmune disorder. And if your son has a diagnosis of pandas and has asd symptoms it's 100% related. Which is actually good news because all the more hope for recovery. Keep treating and peeling back those layers.
