I still nurse at night. Dd is 17 months. What is good to feed for dinner to make him full and sleep better?

Toddler eats the same dinner as the rest of the family. Give him whatever you have for dinner.

Same dinner as rest of family.
If you want to stop nursing you can give a milk bottle

When my kids were elementary aged my dr used to recommend carb meals for dinner to sleep better and protein breakfast to pay attention in class.

Please don't give a milk bottle at night. Terrible for teeth

Pasta. Bread. Crackers. In addition to the regular dinner you’re serving.

A child that age should be eating 3 meals a day and 2 snacks a day . Regular table food. So dinner would be whatever you and the rest of the family eats: meatballs, schnitzel, pizza, salmon. Whatever. Overnight wakeups to feed wouldn't be out of hunger, it is more likely out of habit and/or for comfort.

Full meal like the others are saying.
Soup, chicken, starch, veggy. I serve at 4 and she eats again/finishes when older sibling eat. Hangs around my plate at 630 and may nosh again.
I pushed thru until 19/20 months and gave up nursing and did a gentle sleep training. (I started getting my period monthly and was losing my mind from the wakeups)

Bad teeth most likely has more to do with genetics than with a bottle. All my kids went/go to bed with a bottle till at least age 4, they all have great teeth.

He's most likely nursing at night from habit, not from hunger.
