I don’t know exactly bec my husband really takes care of it
House worth 1.5 million with 200k on the mortgage left.
Rental properties- 7 that were between 150-250k bought before Covid
Investments - $250k
Money in my bank account- $1000
All our money is in my husbands business so we would estimate about $1 million if he sold off his inventory

Late 30s with 5 kids

No savings.

Only debt… lots of it…
Yes house- that’s almost in foreclosure Chas vshalom with over $20,000 in missed payments…

I Owe my attorney $120,000 for a legal battle because my rich narcissistic ex decided he wants full custody the week after he remarried…

The debt is crushing. I keep reminding myself that HaShem has plenty money for me.

You’re all so inspiring with your savings. Life doesn’t always align with man’s plans. When I was married to my ex we had $250,000 in savings which I contributed too by saving and he took all of it… oh well..

ouch
may you merit seeing a yeshuah real soon
He does have more than enough
He will come through for you
Hang on
I'm right there with you

Married 10 years
5 kids BH
Own a house with a mortgage
Lots of debt including mortgage (other than mortgage, mostly from housing-related expenses and several months’ worth of tuition on credit card bc it wouldn’t have been paid otherwise) but a good chunk should be paid down within the next few months IYH
What’s savings? lol (I do have a generous pension plan through my work, though)

I remind myself daily that we are doing our best and we have exactly as much money as Hashem wants us to have

Late 20s
2 kids
Just bought a house and gutting the whole thing (house was purchased for 850k and putting 250k of work in)
Had an account with 250k in it but using it for the construction/house costs
100k in 401k
50k in IRA
60k invested
15k emergency fund (this will be greatly increased once we finish construction)
The only debt we have aside from the house is my husbands student loans that are 280k

its a bit ironic to put the word "only" with 280k student debt... I imagine that could take years to pay off,no?

We also have a lot of student debt (and not the salaries to match it :-/) but it really doesn’t feel crippling or mentally like we are in debt. Emotionally, It’s like a mortgage or something of the sort. A monthly bill, you’re not trying to aggressively pay it up, it’s not affecting your credit score etc. And of course it’s all going to be forgiven so it’s all okay Help

I'm also curious to know the debt after purchasing the house (says apart from the house...)

Very similar situation
Except no stocks
And only 3k in savings
And 5k in cc debt

Hope to have the same goal as you in less than 2 Years as well!

Idk how everyone else has so much savings.. the money comes in and goes towards bills

A little bit of background..Got married young had around 25k in savings...then bought car , paid for college etc. Parents paid for wedding, but basically on our own. Occasionally they will give us $ for things. But no down-payment paid for or financial support at all. Kept saving throught the years then covid dh was out of job...drained savings and now starting from scratch again. And expenses are high
Anyone who got family help to buy a house..count yourself lucky
It's murder.. and I hope to buy a house one day but right now can't see it happening so fast
