Like others mentioned, it depends how it’s done.
I like soft light colors and short nails. I always get compliments on my nails.
I think long nails and funky colors look trashy, and some colors like a simple purple or green don’t look trashy but don’t look elegant either. And chipped nails look worst of all.

I’m probably older than most on this website, but when I was growing up, any nail polish (even clear) was considered unrefined, and it was certainly not a Bais Yaakov look. I didn’t know anyone Yeshivish, who wore nail polish (of any color). I can see that it has become popular, but for me, it’s still a turnoff.
