Make sure he eats a full meal before he leaves home.
Wine only would be best and stick to either red or white, sweet or dry. Best would be one specific wine. Dh takes his wine along with him and drinks only that.
Educate him on the dangers of alcohol poisoning.
Make sure he has a phone on him and tell him to call you if he ever feels uncomfortable or unsafe.
If he does throw up don’t panic.
Many boys need to feel really horrible one time to remember what it feels like and be cautious the next time.

I don’t understand how ppl on here are ok with this
1-2oz becomes 3-4, 5-6, 7-8
BTW- I heard in a Shiur ad lo Yoda means only enough that you don’t know the difference because you know
EVERYTHING COMES FROM HASHEM
AIN OD MILVADO
With this interpretation that means 0 if you have emunah

This is really smart. First of all I think it’s important to have a conversation with him and to give him limits. Also tips to drink water and eat food.
Having said that boys may be boys. I have three grown sons and I’ve seen a lot. You can set the best rules and say he should not be doing this or that but at the end of the day things may happen. Be realistic.
Letting him know that he can call you at any time is a great policy.
His safety is the number one concern.
