I keep seeing posts about people not making ends meet. Talk about $200k a year with a family of kids.
We earn around $150k a year pre tax and have one child. I thank hashem every day that we can easily afford anything (maybe because I’m stingy anyway…) but I do take a lot of stress of financials. I always want to know there’s money in account etc…
Considering that, I’m afraid of having a family of 6/8 kids!! I don’t think we’ll ever have an insane income and I wouldn’t ever be able to handle the stress. I can’t just live by the day. I need to know I have money put away for their weddings so I don’t have stress then….
Don’t come and tell me I need to learn musser on emunah. I know that and do try.

We are putting away a large amount now when kids are young and expenses are less for weddings.

When I had two children we were making 60k. Now with 5 we are making $500k plus.
I’m not saying to have kids that you can’t afford but take it one step at a time. You don’t have 6 kids overnight.

Yes I agree, one child at a time . Daven & invest .
You don’t know what potential income HaShem has in store for you.
Our financial situation has BH improved after Baby#5, opportunities opened up that we would not have imagined possible earlier in our lives . HaShem doesn’t run the world by nature . You can’t think ok I have income xyz, and in 10 years it’ll be the same, so I can only afford x amount of kids . You have to let HIM run the show .
