People who do have pets
People who smaller families
People who are non-jews

You said it was for gentiles, not that it's more common among gentiles. That is demeaning to people who love animals and also are very proud Jews. Why bring politics into this?

Pets need vets and food etc. It does add up as an extra expense. I have cats and a turtle. We got the cats to get rid of mice. They are also cute
