Run the hottest cycle with vinegar and baking soda.

There is a product for this. Affresh. I bought it on Amazon.
Also in general it’s super helpful to keep the door open whenever the machine is not being used.

I also use affresh, even though I don't see much of a difference after I use it. I do it about twice a year, once after washing all the kids camp stuff and before pesach.
Also, I use a damp shamtte to wipe out the inside of the door and inside the rubber rim. You'd be surprised what gets caught in there.

Check the gasket of the washing machine for mold. The rubber ring around the opening of the machine, that's visible when the door is open.

Read the owner's manual, it should tell you what to do.
Furthermore: every day after you finish washing, WIPE THE RUBBER GASKET DRY. Yes, get right inside the folds with a thin towel or old cotton T shirt and work your way all around. Then leave the door open so every last bit of moisture can dry. Yes, it's an annoying chore that takes about thirty seconds to complete. Sixty if you're slow. Dealing with a moldy gasket and a stinky machine is much more annoying and time-consuming.
Also check the manual to see if it's possible to drain the residual water that stays in the machine after the cycle ends. Some models allow you to do this, in which case you should. Standing water gets funky fast.

I had a similar issue not long ago with my LG. I used a wahing machine cleaner (it was a detergent pod) and it help, I also make sure to leave the door open for some time to air it out.
