I just want to speak up for my 4 yo dd who would definitely find this offensive.
She throws a huge fit if I dare to call her silly...

Oooooh, I wanna join! I'm silly! Really, I'm known to laugh at any stupid thing. And I love British humor! I always read funny British books, even if I am American. I've never joined any of these groups or closed forums before, so this is my first. And what a good first it is!

Yeah, well that's because of my hidden stash of Burundi rupees or was it francs, or maybe Franks?
Forgot to say this is my reply to Clowny above!

I'll join. No one ever gets my humour, so it will be good to belong to forum where it is enjoyed.
Also can we make one of the rules that you have to love marmite?

Shosh, only Brits need apply! We're the only ones who "get it."
Now to the serious stuff...I want to be Mod. Because I'm the oldest & the silliest of you all (just ask my students.) So there. Nah Nah La Kish Kish (which is what I said to them today.)

im not always silly, I have a serious practical side, but my sense of humor is extremely childish and silly... im the type of person who puts on funny voices when calling my friends and I pretend im someone else... I laugh at the jokes of 4 year olds... however, I do NOT like english humor!! I have family in england, and their jokes make me cringe...

Hey, you do this too?! I thought it was my family thing. We make a really high pitched chasidishe voice (sorry chasidishe ladies, nothing personal it's just fun) and say "Allo?!" Sometimes I speak in Hebrew or whatever. It always works on the kids who think some nut is on the line for their mother .

Does jumping on the shopping cart and riding it to my car count as silly? If I like the bbc program "are you being served", does that count as 'getting' british humor?
If I embarrass my kids just by being me-do I qualify?

Join? Join? Can I? Please?
I'm the type that gets people thinking that I have an IQ in the mildly [crazy] range (please no offense)
When in fact I could pass for gifted.
I left teachers scratching their scalps, wondering if they should put me back to first grade... And then when I aced the tests...
