In the past week...

I have had 2 separate, short term, but brutal illnesses (head, then stomach) that left me in bed for 1 day each, and DS had the stomach bug as well, meaning he had to stay home Monday, after a 1 week vacation.
THEN....
My 90 year old great uncle with Alzheimer wandered away from home in FL and was found a day later floating in a nearby canal
THEN....
I went to be with my grandmother and set up shiva for her (while leaving my kids home w/ DH for 2 days) and then couldnt do anything because my grandmother was too confused with the thought of changing her normal routine. she is not sitting shiva. I came home early, because me being there was more confusing to her. I felt like a failure, was stressed and came home early.
THEN...
This morning my cat pretty much collapsed, unable to use her legs properly. She was 10 years old, which is not super old for a cat. She had lost 1.4 lbs in 5 weeks, and the dr. diagnosed her with lymphoma that was effecting her spine. I had to put her down.

I'm so sorry. How horrible. This seems to be one of those weeks for a lot of us but yours takes the cake. I hope things get better from here on.

The difference is that I'm so thankful that ds and I are alive, I hardly care about the fact that our car is gone. My focus is on appreciating our miracle and hugging ds every time I remember how he was hanging upside down in the car. My story was scary but turned out well. Yours did not have a happy ending.
