so I hear that some people put in margarine in thier mashed potatoes to make it creamy.How much margarine for 5-6 potatoes?

I play it by ear - about 2-3 tablespoons? Another hint, save the last 1/2 cup of the water in which you boiled the potatoes to add in after to mash in the margarine and before you add salt to taste. Makes it creamier.

For 6 potatoes, about 4 Tbsp (1/2 stick.)
Equal amount of soy milk too.

I use olive oil. And anyone will tell you that my mash potatoes have no lumps whatsoever. For milchigs I add milk.
