I will be going on a 3 hour flight IYH with my DH and 2 year old DD. I'd like some advice and tips for how to keep my daughter calm and entertained. Obviously I will come prepared with drinks, food, coloring books, stickers and a dvd. Is there anything else I should be aware of?
Also, how many of you shlep along a carseat for the plane, and do you find it helpful? I've been reading that toddlers behave better and are less likely to wiggle out when they're in their carseats. DH is against the idea because our carseat is big and bulky and he doesn't want to shlep it. I don't blame him. Opinions? Is it necessary/worth the shlepping?

I wouldn't bother with the car seat because it might or might not work, as we know toddlers are unpredictable, and then you'll be stuck with this seat and only be annoyed you shlepped it with you...You sound very prepared otherwise so it should go well Y'H'!
