My daughter is nearly 12 months, and I am in the process of switching her from formula to milk. For various reasons, I really want her to drink whole milk, but that is making her diapers really really hard.

I've tried giving her grapes, but that is not enough, and I don't want to give her juice unless I absolutely have to.

Any suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions, as I am in the process of switching to whole milk too, and BH there have been no problems, except a slight runny nose which may be seasonal. I do wonder about the grapes though. I think those are dangerous to give to babies under 2.

Is she complaining or in pain? If not, I wouldn't worry too much. It may just be an adjustment period.

I cut them into small pieces so it's not a choking hazard.

Try giving her prune juice to drink in between times.
or regular prunes.

I am in the same predicament with my daughter, and it is very hard for us too! So far I have found that giving her fruits, especially apricots (baby food or regular) and grapes (cut into little pieces) or similar fruits at least twice a day, and having her eat something with whole grains/fiber is usually helpful...
I am trying to stay away from giving her juice.
We are still in the process, so if anyone has suggestions or you find something is working for you, please share!!

also, I don't know how much your baby is drinking, but we try to limit her whole milk intake to 24 oz a day
(she loves her bottle, and is a very picky and small eater, and is underweight, so she does have to drink a significant amount of whole milk..)

Has anyone put Benafiber into your child's bottle? Did it help?
