I was talking to my 3 1/2 yr old niece on the phone and she said that she's going to camp and she has a cold.
me: are you going to take tissues with you?
her: no, I use my fingers. 
me: oh, that's a good idea and if you had long sleeves you can use your sleeves.
(her mother in the background said she tries to use it anyway)
me: and you know what some kinderlach do? They use their mommy's skirt. Do you do that?
her: no, my mommy doesn't let.
me: what a mean mommy.
This was all in jest and my sister and I were laughing, so please don't interpret it to what kind of things am I teaching her, even if she's only 3 /12.

You should have told her she could use her toes - that would have kept her occupied for hours trying to figure that one out, lol!
