Well, my husband and parents think so, and sometimes my daughter thinks so. That's whose opinion counts.

As to what I think, sometimes I think so, and sometimes not.

Yes I'm crazy-gorgeous. Of course. Duh.
OK well none of you can prove otherwise ;-)
Put it this way- nobody gags when they see me but nobody collapses from joy either.

I've been told I look like a movie star. I forgot which one. That was when I was 30 pounds thinner, though!

My husband likes my boobs. My toddler thinks I'm the most gorgeous person in the world. As for the rest of them? Let them keep killing themselves to look like movie stars.

I am very pretty and I'm also pretty fat!!

One is pretty when their perception of themselves is pretty.

Be honest about what you think of yourself. Lets see how positive the self-image is for women here.

I weigh nearly 300 pounds and am 5 foot 2. My self image is excellent. It's realistic, to be true, and, while I don't particularly think I am the most attractive woman on the planet, I do think I am one awesome chick.

My self esteem is not based on my looks at all. I hear that I have insanely striking eyes and I personally love my hair (which hasn't really started to go gray but I won't colour it when it does!) I also hear I have amazing skin. My husband thinks I am gorgeous with or without make up so I rarely wear it.

My self esteem is based on the esteemable things I do;
I am friendly and open, with strangers and friends alike.
I do a lot of volunteer work and people know they can rely on me.
My daughter seems to think I have perfected parenting which I doubt since there is no such thing, but I am still glad she feels that way!)
I run my own business as a kosher caterer with high standards and the strictest of kashrut
I do so even though nine years ago I knew nothing about kashrut except the basics
I am also a mashgiach
As a caterer who does not work only under hashgacha, a rav at a major kashrut organization has recommended me to very frum people because he feels that I am trustworthy even without supervision.
My husband and I are happily married (we have ups and downs as do all couples, but we are happily committed)
My husband is regularly awestruck at what I can accomplish in my life. Awestruck.
I am a leader in my community
I am a good daughter
I am currently training to walk a half marathon. Yes, at my weight. Yes, at my age. No, I am not insane. My blog is listed elsewhere on imamother under blogs.
I am a great cook.
I suck at baking, except bread and a few desserts.
I am a terrible housekeeper but my house is a happy one, in general.
I am an amazing researcher when I need information. Whether its about recipes or marathoning.

I am sure I could go on, but I am not going to because I think that's enough. I think I am a great person all around, one who has off moments as do we all, but who overall is willing to take on a challenge and live it.

So regardless of my physical looks, which aren't bad, why on earth would I base my self esteem on them? Because I am telling you now, there is SO much more to me than my looks to feel good about.
