My husband wants to move to NJ, but one of our kids needs an integrated program. Right now we live on LI where Gesher and Cahal are available. Are there any similar schools in NJ? Also, will he get the same services he currently gets in NY? We cannot move without this. Thanks.

Can you tell us what exactly those schools/programs are?
There are days schools in NJ that have special needs programs integrated in their buildings, if that is what you're looking for. What type of community/school are you looking to move to?

He's not really special needs. He needs a little extra help, but can handle a mainstream classroom. Issues are mostly social skills. Honestly, we're not sure he'd have gotten services at all if we weren't in NY. Anyway, here's a description of what Gesher does: The child with mild to moderate delays who qualifies for related services:
Quote: | The Gesher Early Childhood Center employs a transdisciplinary model of education, effectively carrying over techniques and methods of all service providers. Our teachers are skilled and proficient at incorporating the social and educational objectives of each child. Recommendations made by related service providers will be implemented in the development and modification of lesson planning in order to fully support the needs of each student | .

Which part of NJ are you considering?
There's SEAD in Deal, NJ. There are children from Deal and Lakewood that attend the school. The boys division is in the boys Yeshiva in Deal.

I know families living in Tenafly, NJ who send their children to Monsey for school. Maybe you can look into that as well.

Moriah in Englewood has the Gesher Yehuda program. Don't know if HP/Edison has anything.

RYNJ (Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey) has a T class program (transitional class) for kids that require more services than what is available in resource room but that it is in the northern NJ area.

OP again. The RYNJ program sounds like what we're looking for. Sinai and SEAD seem to be actual special ed. He doesn't need special ed, he needs a little extra help beyond what he'd get in a regular classroom. It sounds like I may have to put the kibosh on the move. DH won't like it, but DS education is more important...
