Can I ( I hope so it's all I have and I can't possibly run to the store again) use a boneless chuck I roast in my Cholent? Do I need to brown it first? It's a thick cut do I slice it up or toss it in whole? I rarely make Cholent but am having Cholent loving guests. Any suggestions welcome.

Wow this is amazing!
My mom sent me a cut of chuck eye and I have nothing to do with it. I was also wondering if it would be ok in the cholent.

I'd cut it up, but it will get shreddy after a long time in the crockpot.
I made a chuck eye roast for Friday night dinner last week, and it was excellent. We used the leftovers on rolls with fried onions, and that was even better.
