My husband was sent this story in an email newsgroup. I thought it was interesting to say the least!

A friend told me today that the following story was in the Maariv Daily
paper here,
as a letter to the editor, I will try my best to translate it to
English as
it's a great story.

A non-frum women wrote:

I was standing at a bus stop in Jerusalem, with me were a few others,
elderly, young, men, women, Frum and not Frum, when a girl came by and
stopped
also to wait for her bus.
To say the truth she was not only not dressed modest, but was more
undressed then
dressed. The charedi people waiting moved back as not to stand near
here,
but there was one young Charedei boy of about 17-18 years old who
crossed
the road and waited near a fruit shop. After a few minutes he walked
into
the shop and
came out with a big green apple, and walked up to the girl and said
THIS IS
FOR YOU.

She got a bit of a fright but asked 'what do you mean its for me?'

All of us standing there could not understand what this young boy
wanted
from the
immodest girl.
As we all looked on with curiosity, he said to her YES ITS FOR YOU -
AND EAT
IT,.
and added: " CHAVE, (Adam Harishon's wife) ALSO DIDN'T REALISE THAT SHE
WAS
NAKED UNTIL SHE ATE THE APPLE!"

Impressed or flabbergasted Confused He was basically asking 4 trouble u know. Exclamation
Now if it was a women who approached her w/h that comment then I would've laughed.
Though got to give the boy some credit he is creative, putting it mildly! Wink

Esp. if it was in Ma'ariv! From a secular point of view, I'm sure it didn't appear flattering and Ma'ariv never misses a chance to make charedim look fanatic/foolish/greedy etc.

I was too shocked how in the world can he have the guts and if the story is true I suppose it can because lately I have been hearing crazy stories from the charadi jews here that I believe this is true unfortantly.

Very funny, very clever, and very fictitious. What charedi bochur would talk to a girl at all, much less one who was half-naked?

I remember hearing that this story was somewhat messed up on its information like they made a mistake with his age which it was an over thirty year old man

This story was in the Country Yossi a while ago. I don't know if I find it funny, daring, smart or weird because I don't find it true. It's a great joke though!!
