10 year old constant stomach ache

.... And nausea, almost after every meal. I try to avoid lactose, witch helps, but he still complains, barely eats and is extremely underweight. What else can it be?!

I would definitely take him off gluten for a month and see what happens. the symptoms you're describing are common symptoms of gluten intolerance.

Thanks smss, I'm tempted to take him off gluten. But I'm not sure which foods are considered "gluten"- like should I also avoid spelt?

Try keeping a food log. We did this for a while and discovered soy was the culprit. It's in many foods. Once we eliminated, all pain went away. My child was in more or less constant pain for 4 months. After 6 months of soy free we were able to reintroduce with no problem.

Had the same situation with my kid, took said kid off dairy (not just lactose) completely for a week (to start) and stomach aches went away.
