So the kids decided that they wanted to try a different playground tonight..
They did have a good day so I thought why not, and we headed out in our stroller
While we were playing of course there were other kids there, but mine were the only ones with kippah and tzizit..
So I was chasing after my kids playing, and overheard a little girl state
"Where did all of these jewish kids come from?"
A boy responded
"What is wrong with jewish people? I am jewish, I just do not wear a kippah all the time."
The girl did not know how to respond...
I told his parents and they were proud of how he stood up for his faith, and for the fact that he did not ahve to always be outwardly jewish to be jewish.

that is nice. Also nice that you told his parents about it. It's too bad they were reinforcing to themselves that their son doesn't need to have outward signs

It's nice that you told his parents... it's special when frum Jews can bond with non-frum Jews
