I keep seeing ads pop off for prepared salad as a mishloach manos. At first I thought it was weird but the idea is starting to grow on me. If in a nice container do you think that a salad with dressing on the side and croutons is a weird MM?

Not weird but iffy, like anything else perishable. You need to know the recipients will be home when you deliver; you cannot leave it on their doorstep to be found eight hours later, or worse, the next day if they went OOT for the day.
