Fruit - Peach (that really flavorful one you only get once or twice a summer)
Vegetable - Broccoli, it's really tasty prepared simply on it's own, but also plays really well with others

Fruit -- Watermelon, mango, nectarine. Just about anything other than papaya and peaches.
Vegetable -- Asparagus and Brussels sprouts.

I love most fruit but I am particularly fond of fruits with a short season like cherries. I love fresh lichees which are only around for a few weeks.
Other fruits like peaches, plums are especially good when I get from the Farmers Market. That's also true of berries as the ones from the supermarket are generally tasteless and I have my favorite farms stalls which sell succulent berries.
And the only tomatoes worth eating are the farm grown ones like the Jersey tomatoes they sell at roadside stands.
