I am curious how much various people pay for tuition unknown it depends on location etc abut so many local people don't wanna talk about how much of a break they are being given.

I will start: playgroup 400 (fee is 400)
Girls school in queens 7,000 (fee was 11,000)

I would love to see some real world numbers.

Northern NJ alert.

Two elementary, 10,000 each. One special ed, 50,000 (haven't finished the court case yet. That will help, though we pay the lawyer, too.) Two high school, average of 16,000 each.

College/beis medrash/seminary awfully close.

Doe that mean you pay 7000 but the actual tuition they quote parents is 11000?

$2,900 kindergarten
$2,900 kita beis/ first grade

I think transportation is $650 per child, although my older son qualifies for free transportation this year (due to the time he comes home and distance from the school)

This is for a chassidish cheder in Boro Park

Lakewood

Girls - $4600
Boys - $6000
Playgroup - $220\month = $2200 (9:30-2:00)

(Both have $5000 building fund per family - but only $1000 is truly mandatory so the rest is tax deductible and ma'aser)

cyam amother so if you decide to only give 1,000 for the building fund then the school is fine with that? because otherwise it's not tax deductible.

It sounded like no one was being thrown out for not giving. We spoke to our school and confirmed their response with our accountant. We were told based on their wording it was legal.
