Am I the only one that thinks the major outrage is a bit of overkill?
Is it so important that your cup should wish you a happy holiday?
Besides the fact that I think places like that should only have general holiday greetings and not specific as many customers are not christians.

The people up in arms see it as a "war on x-mas." I personally think it's ridiculous as when you walk into Starbucks it embodies overpriced, consumer x-mas. A design on the cup won't change that (nor are snowmen a x-mas symbol).

IMO all Starbucks is doing is catering to their complete clientele. Having cups that say "Happy x-mas!" only caters to a particular segment of people.
Then again, maybe the manufacturer just misprinted the cup
Ultimately those looking will always find reasons to be offended.

In general Christians are feeling an attack on G-d. Removing his name from the star spangled banner, forcing judges to sign off on gay marriage. They feel that this is just another attempt to secularize America.

FB, Starbucks Drama Best Quote of the Day:
"I want to be like a red Starbucks cup:
Zen and minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing,
full of delicious steaming hot coffee,
and offensive to religious people for reasons that don't make any darn sense."

The cups featured secular winter symbols all along. Using a color strongly associated with the season is no different. Some people just like to get upset about things.

A religious Xian friend of mine from childhood posted on FB that she knows a lot of deeply religious Xians in a lot of places, and not a single one of them or their friends is offended. She thinks it's all media hype.

I have several devout Christian friends and not one of them seems in the least bit concerned about what is on these cups.
It probably is just media hype,or the politically correct deciding that people should be offended.

Probably has to do with the fact that Howard Shultz is Jewish and being scrutinized. Somehow, the other religions just have more leeway with things like this...

I don't think it's so much that people are offended as much as Donald trump finding something else to keep him in the media.

I think that when the presidential candidates are commenting on the cups a coffee shop uses (when there is nothing particularly offensive) - it means the world has reached a new level of pathetic. Seriously ppl!

Completely and utterly a boring waste of time. If these people have nothing better to do they can come help me.
Not to mention Donald Trump has to "weigh in" on it too because I mean there is only budget issues, tax issues, ISIS for crying out loud but Donald for president he knows how to speak to the people, he knows what is really important - starbucks cup designs
