Im trying to understand, why a person who is religious, would vote for bernie sanders?????
Unless u dont care about the safety of israel, & r sympathetic to the "poor & under privledged" Palestinians, what abt him would any one vote for him?
Besides that he is an open anti semite/self hating jew, he is a liberal socialist, with values that make obama a saint. (And im no obama fan at all)
If ur voting democrat tom, theres no choices. It's 2 rotten apples.
Its important to go out & vote. We need to show we count. The lesser of the 2 evils is Hillary.
Do ur homework, read up on bernie sanders before u go out & vote.
If he g-d forbid becomes president....."Hashem help us"

Newsflash: some people actually care about social justice. Don't vote for him if you don't want to, but realize that not everyone has to share your opinions.

I like Bernie. He's a real person. He has values and convictions, things he fights for. He has a heart for humanity. Hillary is just out for power, as most politicians are.

What does social justice mean?
Justice to the Palestinian terrorists?
Justice to all the illegals & unemployed who live off our hard earned tax money.
Im talking about those that choose to be unemployed because theyre getting all the government programs, so why work??????
I just feel that people are ill informed & gullible!! Or should I say ignorant.

No offense, but you're the one who's coming across as ill informed and ignorant.
And I'm not even a Bernie supporter.

Just curious. How would you know who she identifies with? She didn't say anything about herself.

I said likely because you are right, I definitely don't know for sure, just a hunch and of course I can be wrong.

Does this ever happen in Israel? There will be an election and everyone discusses which faction would be best for America? People start threads saying, OMG why would any Israeli vote for XXXX that group doesn't care about America?
I do not pick my president based on his or her policy towards Israel. That is one of many issues I look at and it's not dispositive by any means.

Are you being facetious or do you really see the situations as symmetrical?
America is a pivotal player on the world stage, and one of the most influential countries on the planet -- many countries around the world, not just Israel, are impacted by American politics. Most of the world is quite aware of American political events. Americans, by contrast, tend to be more ignorant of the goings-on in other nations.

Youre 100% right.
Only G-d knows for sure, but common sense dictates, that had millions of Jews in the not so distant past had a Jewish controlled Homeland that they were able to go to, they might not have been gassed. Unfortunately history repeats itself over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....., no matter how secure they feel in other countries.

Hmmm... it seems that Bernie Sanders supports those who would like to see the Jewish Homeland wiped off the map... Is that his idea of "social justice?" No thanks.

What worries me more about Sanders is that his support for those who would like to see the Jewish homeland wiped off the map is entirely unintentional. He's certainly said enough times that Hamas is wrong to attack Israel, and I believe he means it (he's clearly not just saying what his fans want to hear, since many of them want to hear Israel condemned unequivocally). The problem is that he doesn't seem to even realize that his words and his proposed actions do/would reward terrorism.

This. So much this.
It's kind of annoying to see all the posts that are basically "well, I don't care about his foreign policy, only about... " Do you realize what a luxury it is to not have to care? 90% of the world has no choice but to care about the American elections. So to see American voters so openly not caring about how their choice affects the rest of the world... blargh.
I'm not saying Clinton is awesome re: foreign policy and Sanders would be terrible (Sanders "plan" is basically "let other people take care of it," but hey, that might work, if the other people in question care to play along). Just that it's frustrating when people don't even care.

I'm not an american, but I would vote for Bernie if his views towards Israel were more centered. He also appears pretty ignorant about facts, which is worrying. His domestic policies seem great.
I don't agree with Marina that foreign policy is irrelevent. The USA is a world power and a big supporter of Israel.

I think his domestic policy and foreign policy both sound good in theory, the problem is with putting it into practice.
In theory, he supports Israel and Hamas making peace. In practice, he seems to be hoping that Israel giving Hamas what they want without getting anything in return will lead to peace, which... probably won't work. In theory, it would be great if Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Jordan fought ISIS alone, in practice, it's not clear they'd be willing to be the only ones on the front lines.
In theory, he has interesting ideas about breaking up the banks and boosting American industry. In practice, he doesn't seem to be entirely sure which laws - if any - would allow him to break up the banks, or how he would break up the banks, or how to boost trade beyond "we'll rewrite the trade agreements" - which, like his foreign policy, will work only if everyone else plays along in a scheme that involves them sacrificing for America's sake.
OTOH, the alternatives are Hillary Clinton, Trump, or What's-his-Face. I think Clinton is the lesser of the evils, but I can see how people support Sanders.

I'm an American and I'm in the "This is a South Park Election" group (nor does my vote count because I'm not in a swing state).
Bernie's proposed domestic policies would bankrupt the country. He has no plan as to how to implement many of his policies. I like him because he seems like one of the few genuine people left in politics nowadays. I don't like his views on Israel.
I do agree with Marina, it's not the only issue though. It has to be balanced.
Yes, Americans do worry about foreign policy, but first and foremost need to worry about the health of the US.
