When do you get your baby it's first pair of shoes? As soon as they start taking steps or once they walk properly

Once they're walking for a few weeks. They learn about balance best with their feet firmly planted on the ground

This. My kid walks around with thick cotton socks outside and indoors she's barefoot. Now will be 3 weeks from when she started walking. Today I ordered her shoes from stride rite. Specifically designed for first time walkers. It's called "Soft motion".
Congrats on your babys first steps. It is a major milestone.

Once they are completely stable. I had one who started walking in February...he wore non-slip socks all winter; I bought him shoes (well, sandals) in May. The ones who started walking in the summer got shoes sooner - for outside. Inside they stayed in bare feet.
