But I ordered in 2016 when my insurance covered it, now I picked it up in 2017 my deductible hasn't been met yet....argghh I wish I would have known....anyone know of this is true that they can only bill at pickup??

Most systems are set up that the date can be changed when billing. So yes it should be possible to bill for a prior date.
