We're looking to move to a modern orthodox community within reasonable driving distance to Manhattan and Brooklyn.
We currently live in the five towns and we like it here, but we want to get more bang for our buck housing-wise. Any suggestions?

The two main areas that come to mind:
The greater Teaneck area: includes Teaneck, Bergenfield, Fairlawn, Englewood
The greater Elizabeth area: includes Elizabeth, Hillside, Linden, Springfield, West Orange
Prices and level of modern orthodox-ness vary per town.
What price range are you looking for? What type of modern orthodox are you looking for?

Also Highland Park/Edison and East Brunswick.
Add Livingston to the Elizabeth-area list given above. And there may be a few others to add to the Teaneck-area list.
Other than lower-cost housing, what sort of community are you looking for? Any preference about schools?
