Aharon? Aron? Aaron?

And are there any nicknames for it that would work in chassidish circles?

And what name could go with it, either as a first or second name? (I know Moshe Aharon is very common, but we can't use Moshe.) We're not completely opposed to just using Aharon by itself, but it's not my favorite name and I'd like to have another option.

I guess in chasidishe circles they spell it Aharon since leaving out the H is not Davka a Hebrew name, In my family their called Ari, like Ahrree,

Doesn't the spelling "Aron" remind people of the hebrew word for closet? Also, I feel like someone not familiar would rhyme it with A-rod. I'm not chassidish so maybe that's why it looks unfamiliar to me. Do all chassidim spell Aharon as Aron?

In my family it's spelled Aron but some friends spell their boy's Aharon. I've also seen Aaron, but usually only if it's pronounced the secular way.

Why the need for a nickname? Ari is no easier to say than Aron. It's the same number of syllables. I have heard Aroni though.

I was hoping to find a nickname I like better than the actual name, which I need to use if I have a boy because it's my grandfather's name.

I like the spelling Ahron. I think a one syllable middle name is the way to go.

Ahron Leib
Ahron Dov
Ahron Tzvi

As far as nicknames...

Aharon is closest to the Hebrew.
Aaron is the traditional English spelling.
Aron is a cupboard - you're dropping the 'heh'.
