Email marketing

I run a small business. Looking to find more clients.

Whats your opinion- is there a benefit of sending emails to my clients (using a service such as constant contact) for example wishing them a "happy chanuka" "happy rosh hashana" etc.. and once in a while a reminder that my business exsits?

Don't want to give away what my business is, but think of it as photography (more targeting small groups/families as opposed to weddings and events).

Any advice?

Email marketing is more dead than alive since Gmail filters most of these messages into the Promotions tab.

I wouldn't email a happy holiday on its own. I would email a promotion or new products I have to offer.

Instagram marketing is hot these days; how is your Instagram presence?

thank you! that was very helpful and saved me the time thinking more about it!

I am slowly building up my instagram presence.. I know its important. the problem is the I find everyone "liking" my posts and occasioinally commenting, but its not resulting in clients! I'm wondering what else I can do to grow.

I don't have room in my budget for highering a marketing company for advice.

I have no idea about your business; however it's important to realize that marketing will make or break your business.

Your marketing budget should come before your budget for camera gear, education, props, etc.

Without proper marketing, you're attempting to drive a car without gas, and you'll obviously get nowhere.
