Anyone have any suggestions for a top pediatric GI in the New York area?
Also has anyone had a child with a lot of stomach pain, gas pain? What helped?
Thanks

I heard about him. What was your experience with him? May I ask for what issue and if he was helpful? (Only if your comfortable to share)
I made an appointment with him but I have to wait like 4 months. I heard it’s hard to follow up with him since he’s so busy. Would love to hear your experience.

Dr. Levy came highly recommended, but I was extremely unimpressed. He called my 10 lb. overweight. Even though on his charts, maybe he was considered overweight, anyone with common sense could see that he was way too skinny. Dr. Amy Dr Felice of Columbia was the one who pinpointed a milk protein allergy and put him on a different formula. She also changed his reflux meds to a more effective one. She was wonderful.

Dr. Joseph Levi in NYU. He was able to diagnose a really sick infant relative of mine that over 30 doctors (possibly more) couldn't figure out the root of the problem. Bh that baby got cured of all the issues under his care combined with the care of a specialist in another field that Dr. Levi recommended.
He also treated my child who had IUGR, after I saw another doctor with a shorter waiting period who over-reacted gave medical advice that harmed my child. He guided me with what to expect for my child regarding feeding and weight gain, and explained at length why my child being underweight is not necessarily a reason for concern based on the rate/percentage of weight gain. My child was under his care until ~age 2.5 & is bh thriving.
Dr. Levi really knows his stuff, and its worth waiting the 4 month to see him.
