I’m currently working in a yeshivish/Litvish playgroup. I’m chasidish and in our circles everyone tips generously. I understand they are tight in Money, being that the men learn and the wife is the provider. I’m just curious if they tip at all or I shouldn’t expect anything? I got meanwhile one gift shared by 2 parents and one generous tip from one mother that comes from chasidish background. I’m just curious about the rest..it’s a small group and no note was send out to the parents about tipping.
If they don’t tip I’d like to know so I shouldn’t feel disappointed.

I do, as well as all the people I know do. At work we were discussing how much to give teachers, we discuss in my family, etc. It may depend more on the school or town, rather than yeshivish versus chassidish. I'm in Lakewood

in the yeshiva k'tana and high school/mesivta we definitely do-- not sure about playgroup because I never really did playgroup, but I would assume so..
