Hey y'all!

My mother very much needs a new wig, but she never would spend money on herself, so my siblings and I are looking to pool together a present for her. Thing is, though, that the prices are often gag-worthy these days.

Mum doesn't need "the latest thing," but a decent, mechubad sheital would be a huge boost for her.

So if you were to get a middle-aged woman a nice sheitel - where would you go? How much would you spend? Which salon does the fitting in a kind and gentle manner? (mum gets scared off by highly-polished power personalities.)Who cuts styles appropriate for grown women? And what is the price range at such an establishment?

I would recommend going to gitel rosenzweig in Brooklyn. She's very low key, low pressure, patient, not at all hotsy totsy but has a lot of experience and sells nice pieces. If you search gitel rosenzweig wigs on Google you'll find her contact information pop up. My family has been happy using her Smile

irene is a great wig. They have a more expensive and cheaper line. You can probably ger something nice for 1100 with the cut. Any sheitel macher will sell you one and they have a walk in salon on 44 and 12

I haven't been to both, but many people on this site recommended Chaya heligman and Mimi dembitzer
