I wear very minimal makeup sometimes. When I do - I wear dark brown eyeliner (pencil - same brand for 10 years) in neat line top and bottom lid and massacara.
Lately the liner on the bottom lid smudges down and looks horrible. Almost like I took my finger and just smudged the color straight downward on both eyes.
I want it to stop without complicating things.
Any ideas?

buy new eyeliner. smudge/ water proof

Did it happen suddenly with the same eyeliner, or did you buy a new one of the same brand? Sometimes they change the formula.

Get rimmel London scandaleyes liner, and make sure to get the waterproof one.

My smudging stopped after I resorted to only buying waterproof liner and mascara.

I've loved several L'Oreal waterproof mascaras.
Covergirl also makes some good ones.
No need to go more expensive on mascara - I've seen several makeup artists use drugstore brands.

Lash Paradise. They have a waterproof one.
Or anything from essence.
