the horse was dancing to the music- and dancing better than a lot of people I know -including me

Gigi, they were fabulous!! so, when do we ride? it makes me wish that I could just sit on their back and fly with the breeze.....I love the racing aspect of horseback riding.

I've only gone riding about twice, but loved it each time.
(Only later did I find out that there's an inyan for women to not go riding before marriage. Oh well,)

I actually don't like to get too close to any animals (am I allowed to say how much I dislike animals here?  ). But that dancing horse had me mesmerized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that was freestyle dressage.
the rider is guiding the horse with his aids to do what you see as a dance.

gigi, I think it's so cool that you had so much riding experience.
I am dying to learn how to just get on a horse and fly away... 8)

When I was in college they had a Horsemanship class, which I took for three semesters. It was English riding and I even started doing jumps, as well as learned how to groom horses and get the saddle on. My favorite memory is when I went to Dominican republic and went riding every day (those mad runs in between palm trees were pure rushes of adrenaline and probably about as dangerous as riding a motorcycle without a helmet). And then I got married and haven't been on a horse since. And now I don't think I would be comfortable riding astride with men around. So, all we need now is to open a horse ranch just for frum ladies...it never hurts to dream.

You just reminded me of the time you had to go in the middle of the night to the horses for something and we gathered flashlights and your father, brother and my brothers to come with us...and walked through the woods...
Thanks for posting the videos. My DH loves horses so I showed him them. Benny was clapping to the dancing horse video. I personally loved the first one! They're so beautiful!
