I'd be scared. Besides, many times 15 min easily turns into being a half hour.

ETA-but wait a minute, you forgot? Aren't you home now?

Is this a serious question or a response to the other thread about babysitting via monitor?

Just in case this is real, no you cannot leave young children alone in the house to run errands even if you have a monitor plugged in.

I would call CPS on a parent for THINKING to ask such a question. And please don't leave a kid alone with a baby monitor while you go to the sheitel macher.

Even with a monitor, not exactly a great idea to leave a toddler at home alone, even sleeping

I've left sleeping toddlers to run to the next door neighbor to borrow an egg for a minute or meet the bus in front of my house for two minutes- I'm not one of the extreme mommy shaming YOU MUST WATCH YOUR KIDS 24/7 AND KEEP THEM IN A REAR FACING CARSEAT UNTIL THEY TURN 10 types, but to leave a kid alone for a whole 15 min shaitel appt (which could easily become 20 or 25 minutes)? No way. Not okay. Really unwise.

I believe it because I have neighbors who do this. Some of them daily. I find it horrifying.

Monitors do not detect smoke or fire.
Monitors are meant for you to listen in on a child if they are a few rooms away, not a few blocks away.
Never ever go away leaving a toddler alone for 15 minutes. If you went to take the garbage out or wait for your child’s school bus and your toddler is in the crib , I would say it’s probably ok. But to go to an appointment , no matter what or where...absolutely not.

Really? What is there to be educated about? Educate me.
It’s animal instinct for a mother never to leave her babies. WTH.
