Pasta with Vodka Sauce

Pasta with Vodka Sauce
from a low fat cookbook

package thick pasta, boiled and set aside
1 tsp olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
4 garlic gloves, minced
1/2 cup dry red wine or 2 T balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup vodka
1 T sugar
2 T tomato paste
good pinch black pepper
28 oz diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 cup milk
2 T parsley

Heat oil and sautee onion and garlic in saucepan. Stir in wine and all ingredients up to and including the tomatoes. Boil and and cook for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in milk and parsley. Serve over pasta.

Makes about 5 cups.

I'm at work, kinda licking the screen here. Taste like lysol, and dust with a trace of urine.

hmmm

Did anyone make this yet?


I made last week a recipe that required dairy whipping cream and red wine and it wasn't so good, the kids wouldn't touch it. Maybe the wine was too strong.
