My child recently had a CPSE meeting and qualifies for a center based program. I am a bit lost in this process. I think an ICT setting in HASC would be best. The district is saying I should apply to all the programs available as there are very few spots left and most places are full. The idea of sending my child on a 45 min bus ride to a school I physically can't visit makes me nervous.

HASC Woodmere is closest to my home. Has anyone sent and can they tell me their experience. Also are spots really filled up and its difficult to find a spot now? What are the odds HASC won't have a spot for my child.
Feeling overwhelmed and anxious.

My son was there three years ago and did very well there. The staff was very professional and they really work with the parents!

My son was accepted in August (long story, real headache, his previous program had closed). They have different class levels, so it will depend if there's room in a class that he needs, but they really try to work with you. They have an integrated UPK type program, a 10 child class, and a smaller class depending on what your child qualifies for. It was a few years ago so I don't remember exactly.

I saw the school a few years ago and it looked nice. Call tomorrow and ask if they would have room. It's not too late to get into a school but don't wait any longer if this is the place you want to send to
