Up until about a week ago my son (3 years old) slept till 6:30 ish and wouldn’t come out of his room till 7. Just recently he started waking up at 5:00 am and coming out of his room then. His bedtime is 7. He naps in school ( not always) for up to 2 hours. Any advice?

My 3 yr old sleeps 11 hours at night and doesn't nap, 8pm-7am
Sounds like he is sleeping too much. Maybe try later bedtime?

That's a lot of sleep for a 3 year old. Most 3 year olds I know don't need a daytime nap. And 2 hours is a really long nap!
7-7:30pm is a very reasonable bedtime for a 3 year old. But without the nap. If cutting the nap doesn't help, maybe push his bedtime to 7:30/8pm.

When my kids went through a phase of waking up early, I kept a couple of boxes of toys in my room. I told them they can come to my room when they wake up and play quietly. They’d happily go play with the magnatiles, little people, whatever I put there while I dozed in bed. I wasn’t deep asleep, kind of listened in with one ear, but I got another half hour of sleep.
