Our minhag is to have a fleishig meal on the first (second, this year) day of Shavuos, after the milchig one.

The problem is, no one is hungry, but certain family members insist on having the meal anyway. I'm thinking of doing something light, like steak salad, but need an idea of what to serve alongside it.

Any ideas?

You can serve the steak salad with side of lo mein or any other side dish.
Or just serve a variety of salads like steak salad, potato salad, pasta salad or quinoa salad.
Or make a salad bar. All elements of salad served in separate bowls. Have a bowl of sliced grilled chicken and a bowl of sliced steak. Variety or garnishes and dressings.

What meat do you recommend foe the steak salad? Do you cook in on Yom Tov?

Love the salad bar idea! Thanks!

I know ppl who serve a piece of steak plus a salad on the side. That's the maximum they can eat after feasting on the מילכיגע קידוש.
If anyone can eat more than that, you can add a small potato knish.
It would be a pity to work hard and then have people too full to eat

I'm planning on cooking it before and then bring it to room temp before serving.
